After more than a decade in which demand has outstripped supply and driven pay sky-high, governments and businesses are still having trouble finding cyber security personnel.
According to study by ISC2, an organisation for cyber security experts, the global shortage of cyber security professionals was estimated to reach 3.4 million in 2022, versus a total cyber workforce of 4.7 million. It was discovered that the disparity was especially substantial in the transportation, aerospace, government, education, and insurance industries. According to Clar Rosso, CEO of ISC2, the staff must increase by around 70% in order to fill all of the open positions.

According to a separate global study conducted by Isaca, another IT security association, the biggest skills shortages were in the areas of cloud computing and soft skills, such as communication and interpersonal relations. Read more-
