It has been a slow period for funding but regardless, hiring remains steady. That’s according to new research from CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the technology industry and workforce.
Its latest European Tech Hiring Trends report looked at 11 markets (Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Spain) and found that job postings for technology positions across these countries added up to more than 950,000 in the last quarter of 2022.
In fact, a survey of more than 58,000 employees across Europe found that overwhelmingly, it is financial benefits that workers want. Pension benefits and leave and working hours benefits are also up there as desirable.
By comparison, in the US, it is employer-covered health care that comes out on top, with 67% of employees and 68% of employers saying this is the most important benefit.
